The Boot

Turns out I had an inflamed tendon.  Been in "The Boot" since early October.  So no working out for almost two full months.    The six pack is not there- nor will it be for a while.

I have gotten out more.  I am hanging out with a grad student quite a bit and with people from my church too.

Got set up with a boy.  Really like the boy. The boy assures me the feeling is mutual.  The boy will be here this weekend.  Can't wait to spend another weekend with the boy.

Church stuff is going well.

Need to get on that whole looking for a job thing.  The grading is killing me this year and I really hate grading papers.  I can do tests no problem (well writing them sucks since they need to be challenging but not impossible) and don't mind grading them really at all, but the lab reports suck my will to live from my body.  Yeah that bad.  Did I mention I have 4 days of lab next quarter?

Time to look for that job.....

How are all of you?

So yeah, an update

Well lets see in the last two weeks I have learned that I have two bones in my foot where most people have one, and that your foot can hurt so bad that even the weight of a sheet on it causes EXTREME pain when they are irritated.  Yes it was as fun as it sounds.

I now have therapy to do for my foot- yeah PT for my tootsie, and another appointment in 3 weeks.  I also came down with a horrible head cold the day before my birthday which just let up today.  Yep out of commission for two whole weeks

So, I have not worked out for two weeks due to my foot and my health, and I have not gone out for two weeks due to the same causes.  Not doing so well on those objectives, but as soon as I am fully healthy I will begin the attack again.

New year resolutions

Since I am still teaching it seems only fitting that I make mine at the start of the school year.  So here they are posted in public so you can hold me accountable.

1) Get fit, as in six pack proud to show off my midriff fit
2) Get out more, way too much staying in last year
3) Go to Ireland
4) Date more, use internet and friends to do this, heck even student to set me up with older siblings
5) Find a job that will bring me back out west
6) Stay involved with the young adult's group at church

Those are them for now- thoughts?  Any additions you think I should make?

Wondering

So I will be staying where I am now for at least another year.  God didn't say "go" so I am taking that as a "stay".

I am getting more involved in church, activities, and with friends.  I still miss XIX, Newsong, and the activities I could only do in sunny SoCal, but I am enjoying things here more too.  I think having finished my first year of the job helps.  I know what to expect, and I know when I can enjoy some free time and when I need to soldier through now too.

How are all of you?

Questions

Where do I want to be? What do I want to be doing?

More importantly where does God want me to be and what am I supposed to be doing with the talents He gave me?

Prayer gladly accepted.
